All documents submitted to the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Saskatchewan must be verified through the Physicians Credentials Registry of Canada (PCRC). It pays to be very careful when completing this part of the process as an error can mean a long (avoidable) delay in processing. Please read in its entirety the PCRC Online User Guide.
1. Open an account with the PCRC.
2. Get two passport-style photos for the application. Please note that these are not standard size, but 5 cm by 7 cm. (The PCRC requirements are given in detail here).
3. Download and complete the Medical Council of Canada Declaration and Authorisation for Release of Information for Credentials Verification Form.
4. Get certified copies of your Medical Degree, all Specialty Certificates (this includes records of your rotations), Passport, passport-style photos, and the Declaration and Authorisation. PCRC are very specific about what they require, so check.
5. Finally, courier or post all these documents to the PCRC. Please visit their website for their latest address.
Once your documents have been successfully source verified, notify the CPSS. Log into your PCRC account to make sure that the CPSS can view your documents through "Document Sharing" in the left-hand menu.
Now you can start the Visa Process.
